Rice, Japanese freshwater eel, takuan (pickled radish), and roasted sesame seeds, served with miso soup and seaweed salad with ponzu. Unadon is a dish that originated from Japan. A donburi-type bowl filled with steamed white rice, and topped with fillets of Japanese freshwater eel grilled in a style known as kabayaki, similar to teriyaki. The fillet glazed with a sweetened soy-based sauce, called tare and caramelized.
